24x36 acrylic inks on board. Sometimes they come quickly.

It looks like some sort of city or castle with fire behind it.

Thank you! I generously apply acrylic inks (airbrush colors) then spray the board with water and start tilting it until I get the desired effect. Sometimes I need several tries before something worthwhile materializes.

Oh now you mention it, now I read it correctly :D I just saw acrylics, not the ink part ^^ Never heard of acrylic ink though, should take a look in the store.

The tilting part sounds familiar ^^

But again, my compliments!

Great piece - I can see so much in this. A fiery dragon rising from the depths...

What fantastic shades of red!!

You know, I live in a region that was shaped by volcanic activity. So if I had looked out of my window 11,000 years ago, I would have spotted something similar to your painting! ;)

Thank you Jacqueline, it's sometimes hard for me to capture the reds correctly in a photo but this time I got pretty close.

Glad you like this piece, but interestingly enough this is one of my "thinner" pieces, there's not much surface texture or thickness, that's all optical :)
