The Secret Structure

20x16 acrylic on gessobord. Painting 2 in my "Liquid" series. Done with fluid acrylics, an eyedropper, and spray bottle of water. This is the most multi-layered piece I've done so far. Thank God (or rather, thank QT) for my hairdryer. I spend most of the time drying layers, and without the dryer this painting would have taken months to complete. Each paint layer becomes an individual event, and I have a certain thought or goal in mind with it, but the actual result of the application can sometimes veer. I like the unpredictability. Near the end of this one things started coming together and I got into a certain flow, and I saw areas where I wanted to enhance the design with line drawn with the eyedropper.
